A home or office move goes smoothly when the packing, the building rules and the truck are planned together. Our moving support covers new and used furniture removal, dismantling, packing, moving, unpacking and fixing, as well as wall-frame removal and installation and boxes when requested. This guide helps you prepare so the move day runs on time.

Make an inventory
List the large items room by room: beds, wardrobes, sofas, tables, appliances, cabinets and anything heavy or fragile such as glass tops, mirrors and artwork. Estimate the number of boxes. Photos of each room are often quicker than a written list and help the team judge the truck and crew needed.
Decide what needs dismantling
Wardrobes, beds and large tables usually need to be taken apart to pass through doors and lifts, then reassembled. Wall-mounted frames, mirrors and televisions need removing and fixing again at the new address. Say which items need this, so the right tools and time are planned.
Check the building rules at both addresses
Many residential and office buildings require a move permit from building management, a booked service lift and moves within set hours. Ask both buildings what they require, including any documents, parking arrangements for the truck and protection for lifts and corridors.
Packing
Decide whether you pack yourself or want packing done for you. Fragile items need proper wrapping and boxes. Label boxes with the room they go to, so unpacking at the new place is quicker.
On the day
Keep valuables, documents and daily essentials with you. Have someone at each address to open doors and answer questions. Check each room is empty before the truck leaves, and check items for damage as they are unloaded.
